I am a huge Mixed Martial Arts fan so I was excited when I saw the previews for The Mentalist having an MMA episode, but they didn't even have any actual fighters appear on the show? Lame.

This was a decent enough episode, but it really got away from the fighting part pretty quickly and really made MMA look bad, which I am not surprised that a show targeted for older viewers would do.

The murderer was a bit of a surprise, but this felt more like Criminal Minds than The Mentalist. No Patrick Janeisms, nothing unique about this episode is the point I am trying to get across. Good, but not The Mentalist at all.

Good episode. A lot of the tricks were fun to see and there were many laughs. The only thing I did not like was the last act, I did however like Penn and Teller and thought all their lines were funny. I also liked Lou's line to Wiggum about 'needing another stomach.' Overall this was a pretty good episode, I thought so anyway. B+ or so as a final grade.

And House is still hurt regarding the break up with Cuddy - which I think is very realistic since he has always been in love with Cuddy.

I have been watching L&O series for close to 20yrs now and am very happy to find this offshoot for last 8-9yrs of other L&O series have become quite quite poor.

I am however very impressed by the UK version which plots are based on original seasons of the fisrt series, most shows are based on season 7, not surprised for in my opinion the overall leader in storylines and casting.

The cast ensemble has excelllent chemestry but the apparent departure of James Steel ( Ben Daniels ) will leave a huge void which will be difficult to overcome.

I have been matching originals versus UK series and am quite impressed, although the original versions are very good and quite appealing I think the UK series deserves a wider audience, considering the lack of good television these days this show is quality entertainment, something I havent seen in a while.

Megan and her team must piece a victim back together when body parts turn up in a back alley. Lacey gets Megan's reluctant permission to film her at work for her school video essay project which in turn has a profound effect on Lacey's view of her mother.

Another very nice instalment of Body of Proof. The writers find another way to give the show a nice comic edge with Lacey coming to the office to get research for a project. By convincing the men of the office to break her mother's rules about what can be seen and what cant be seen we get some very nice comic scenes. We also have a beautiful sequence in which Megan tells Lacey about the meaning behind her job and mother and daughter have their first connection.

Also a very nice mystery this week with plenty of nice twists and turns. Would have to say the best mystery so far accept that too many people got accused of the murder before the final killer is revealed but I suppose that just adds to the drama of this illusive figure.

Loved the final scene that closed the episode in which Megan sees her daughters class video. A very moving scene that really will help set this show apart. It was a defining moment for the mother and daughter's relationship and just shows how heartfelt a series like this can be. Had to change my rating to 10 out of 10 cause I just felt this episode had so much to offer. :)

This was such a GOOD episode! I wasn't surprised when the Sheriff was shot though. When Jane found the villian on fire....I was guessing Red John did it. Remember when Red John killed the woman that had helped him kill Bosco and three others. He managed to walk right by her and poison her as the guards were taking her to lock up. My husband and I couldn't understand the final words spoken by the villian.....I hit rewind and listened,don't know how many times until I could figure it out. I'm pretty sure he says "Tiger Title" hinting that Red John is actually behind the killings and burning him alive. The reason I'm thinking this is because I remembered that Red John whispered that to Jane in the season finale last year. Referring to the Poem "The Tiger." "Tiger, Tiger burning bright...."
All in all this show is getting better and better!
Can't wait to see how it continues to unfold.
Oh, I agree with the other reviewer about Jane being on the edge....it's a nice change from his cockiness.
