Synopsis
The nine remaining teams depart from Commodore Perry's Landing in Kurihama, Japan and fly to Kunming, China to arrange travel to Lijiang, but Kent and Vyxsin spiral out of control immediately. At Jade Dragon Mountain, teams ride yaks to obtain a clue directing them to Spruce Meadow and the Roadblock: finding charms with the twelve Chinese zodiac signs among thousands of charms and arranging them in order. The zodiac theme continues in Lijiang's Old Town, as racers write wishes and deposit them into their sign, marked on a prayer wheel. Directed to the Detour, teams choose between each using a giant wooden "Hammer" to pound molten candy into shape or carrying a large ceremonial "Horn" while leading a parade of Naxi dancers to Wencheng Palace. Completion awarded the clue to find Phil at the Eternal Tower atop Lion Hill.

This was an awesome action-packed TAR episode! The pressure was on from the get-go, as Kent & Vyxsin wandered astray and missed a mandatory flight - potentially resulting in a penalty. I will be interested to see how much tehy will be epenalised.

The yak challenge was cool, and the Roadblock was phenomenal! The Chinese Zodiac became pivotal in this episode, and Zev had a lot of problems, as did the lagging Vyxsin.

My Zodiac sign is Dog, ironically enough, as I have a fear of gods. Oops, I mean dogs...

So Zav and Cara were the dogs on this race, and then we had a Detour which was caool! The ancient way of making candy was really nice to see!

One funny thing in this episode was Ron! How much did the guy eat! He was concerned with nothihng other than eating in this episode!

A huge shocker at the Pit Stop! Keep racing! This was good news for Kent & Vyxsin, although unbeknownst to them, for the time being!

I am concerned for Kent & Vyxsin - secongd last in Manly, and then two seventh place finishes. Now they had the most dismal day imaginable - what with missing a flight, getting lost, failing a Roadblock and losing passports. Unbelievable!

I am really looking forward to nexst week, especially with the Double U-Turn!

Keep it up, TAR! This season has been good so far, and I hope it stays that way! Great work!

This is definitely the first episode of Being Human that I really felt like reviewing. This is probably because of the significant event that occurred in it. The essence of the episode is: Mitchell is rescued from his cell by Herrick and forced to confront George in the wolf cage. There is seemingly irreparable damage done to his relationship with George and Annie and later, after catching Herrick by surprise and killing him, Mitchell goes to the Honolulu Heights and asked George to stake him. Now this isn't an entirely flawless episode. Of course, Aidan Turner's acting is practically a display of virtuosity, which doesn't really bode well to costars Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow, and Sinead Keenan. More often than not, I found it annoying that they couldn't keep up. Maybe I'm a bit unfair but it's Turner's episode. In addition to that, I wasn't over the moon about Herrick getting resurrected just to get killed again. Then. at the very end of the episode, when they were getting all emotional about losing a friend, big,scary Old One Wyndham comes and ruins their moment by announcing his grand plans for world domination(again). After all that build up, they could've that particular plot point for the next series and gone with the flow of the moment. Mitchell was an irreplaceable part of the group no matter what he did and in this case, the creators should've focused on the tragedy of the moment instead of introducing another, stronger Herrick. While George does go through with the staking, the effect is cheapened. That aside, nobody can ever fill up the void left by Mitchell in my opinion so I'm not particularly looking forward to the next series. But I can say with certainty that this was a good send off to a main character all the fans are going to miss(it could've been a great one though) and was definitely the best episode of the series so far.

Good for both Cleveland and Donna. After all the abuse and insults they sufffered from his father and mother, respectively, I fell that they are entitiled to take advantage of their sudden misfortune to gain themselves a little well-deserved payback. Not only that, but we finally see Freight Train do an altruistic deed for the first time in his life when he covered for Cookie. It proves that there is some shred of good in everyone, even in situation comedies and cartoons. True the con artist swindles them again, but that's life. This is one of the best episodes of The Cleveland Show ever.

Californication S04E10

Hank Moody really is an insufferable man, regardless of any good images we get of him. How did he get from Point A to Point B? What made him become such a horrible man who always seems to have his heart in the wrong place before his need and love for sex gets in the way? If this episode proved anything to me, it's two things: it's difficult to make Hank into a nice guy, even if he is likable to us, the audience, and that he has a long way to go if he's ever going to get his family back. I know that if I were Karen or Becca, I would have a hard time taking anything he has to say seriously.

I think the episode benefits from jumping back and forth from past to present and seeing the truly repulsive side of Hank, a side that we sometimes forget exists now since there's so many lovey-dovey moments side by side with the grimy ones in the present. Watching Hank defecate on Bill's car was not only childish (and yes slightly funny) but the laughing that followed the reaccounting of the story shows how Hank hasn't really changed all that much.

I also like this new idea that Hank may have known who Mia was before they had sex the first time. It's obvious that Hank was drunk as hell the first time they met, so it's not possible that he knew her, but the tension it creates between all of the women in Hank's life is definitely worth seeing.

So where does that leave the rest of this season? I'm not sure. The Trial felt like a great episode that was missing something that I can't quite define; it was great, that's for certain, but it felt like there was a lot of stuff brought up and nothing resolved. Which makes me hope that we'll be seeing some resolution by the time the season finale arrives in two weeks.

A lot of questions heading into the finale next week. What will happen to Cara Lynn, to Barb and to Alby? And they better answer them as if we learned anything from Lost's season finale a year ago it is that when a great drama signs off for the last time you better answer every question or fans will be upset.

But it is hard to ignore that this was a great hour of television. It was thrilling and there was never a dull moment. A lot of breakups, fights, shouting matches and the kind of explosive dialogue only this show can generate. If I had to find one criticism it is that the shooting scenes were kind of lame. Bill looked like a goon holding the gun, but again, that is a very minor complaint.

Big Love had me hooked and I am counting the days until we say goodbye to them next Sunday.

CSI Miami - S09E16

The beginning of this episode was delivered so well by the victims and the episode had my full attention from the start and it didn't disappoint. I think this was definitely helped by with the directing throughout ;) The victims played a big part in this episode and the ending was really beautiful.

The choice of humans hunting humans as the story was brilliant and the actors really portrayed their disgust very well through their characters.

Wolfe had a good episode, nice little bit with his misfortune with nature. His scenes of him and Natalia were a pleasure to watch. And his green t-shirt wasn't bad either ;) The teams anguish when they found out it was slavery was very believable and all the interviews/interrogations were entertaining to watch yet still realistic (Well bar one interrogation actually.)

Now to the reason I can't give this 10. Once again we had Horatio (And Wolfey!) going a bit vigilante. I don't like this, especially didn't like it in the episode a few shows ago when Horatio closed the door behind him with the criminal inside :-/. This wasn't as bad by far as he didn't carry out anything (not really), but it really reminded of a scene out of '24'. And though '24' was amazing, this shows is about law-abiding CSI agents and these sort of scenes shouldn't be seen very often I don't think. I don't like this new dirty Horatio. He is NOT above the law no matter how many times he takes his sunglasses off/on ;).
Although, maybe we could take these scenes in a different way? They could show us how appalled the team were that they would do anything to stop the trafficking/slavery and more importantly catch the murderers, to go as far as allow Horatio to act in this way, maybe?

Little of Calleigh was seen but I presume this is either due to her wanting to spend most time possible with the baby or Adam didn't expect her to be back so had to just 'fit' her into the episode. Hope to see more of her soon.

Oh and I loved the way the subtitles were done. Real emphasis on some of the words allowed it to be more intelligible. And it looked awesome too.

All the characters bought their parts to the table, and helped with the excellent writing, this was a very good episode overall.

Alex learns Rosie is an angel of darkness but when she tells Justin he goes to the dark side and is enlisted to steal the moral compass. Meanwhile Tina and Alex try to stop the world from turning dark. Also, Harper suggests Maxine have a slumber party but it is really for her since she never had one.

This was not as good as I expected, but still decent. In this episode, Alex, and the Russo family, sees Justin doing bad things. They do not understand why, as he is dating Rosie, an Angel, and thus if anything he should be nicer. Alex goes to see some Guardian Angels, and meets Tina, a little girl who wants to get her wings and become a full Guardian Angel. Tina and Alex go to see Justin, and Tina recognizes Rosie. Apparently Rosie was her mentor, but then she turned into an Angel of Darkness. Alex tells Justin this, but he does not care, as long as he and her can still be together.

It turns out Rosie was using Justin to get the Moral Compass from the Guardian Angels. It is set on 'good', meaning people will do good things, but if the Angels of Darkness get their hands on it, and switch it to 'bad', then people will be nasty to each other. Justin ends up getting it, and Rosie and him go to the Dark Realm, where the master of all Guardian Angels, Gorok, lives. They give him the Moral Compass, and he even gives Justin Angel of Darkness wings.

However, Rosie learns that Gorok plans to destroy Justin because he is an outsider. Rosie tries to tell Justin this, but he does not listen and intends on staying in the Dark Realm forever. Rosie escapes and finds Alex, trying to get her to help. At first Alex does not believe Rosie wants to save Justin, but she does and so they go. The battle between the good angels, wizards, and the Angels of Darkness is on. Who will end up winning?

Meanwhile in all of this Harper has a slumber party because she has never had one before (she disguises it as one for Maxine).

It was good. It was not as 'epic' as I thought it was, but oh well. I was hoping it would be on the same level as Wizards Vs Werewolves, but it was not. Does that mean it was bad? No, not really. The main plot had plenty of good moments. If there was anything boring, for me it was the sub plot, but even that had some good parts, like when Maxine turned the girls into elderly men. My final grade for this episode is going to be in the "B" Range.
