The penultimate episode of Secret Diary of a Call Girl's final season was a satisfying one (nice choice of words, if I may add). We got some interesting interactions, and some genuinely emotional scenes.

I'm not a fan of the Ben/Hannah drama completely wearing down the entire portion of final episodes, but this was still an enjoyable episode regardless. The vampire as a client was hilarious, and the client dying at the very end was definitely unexpected.

Poppy got some redemption here, and I don't know if she will be in the series finale but this was a good way to send off her character after a season of being corrupted by Belle and her life. Overall, good penultimate episode, but I worry that the series finale will be bogged down by Ben/Hanna drama, as the rest of the season was.

I really enjoyed this episode. It had everything an exceptional episode needs; personal involvement in the case, some suspense, a *brilliant* choice of actor in the way of the bad guy, continuation of the season's story and of course the all important character development.

Natalia's kidnapping was very believable (well except for her pitiful excuse for a scream and resistance when she was initially caught). However when she was in the back of the vehicle the interaction between suspect and CSI was excellent. When Horatio pulled her from the wreck we saw the caring side of H which is always pleasant to see, however I would have liked to see some more worry from her workmates, but that's just me.

As soon as I saw Mark Pellegrino playing the 'witness' I was quite sure he had a bigger part to play/was the murderer. You can't have someone who played such an awesome Lucifer (Supernatural) just be a passer-by who happened to see the main suspect. He is so damn good at being bad!! Some very good casting there.

I loved how throughout the whole episode it seemed to be Natalia going against what the rest of the team thought, and even sometimes against the story the evidence told. There was the thought of Stockholm bought up by Delko, which I think she did have and though it proved he was telling the truth it still led her to a biased view.

The manhunt continues, and though I like this, if it comes between Ryan Wolfe and happiness with his girl I will not be happy! ;)
I really want him to get someone, even just for a short while and if it's someone forward like Molly that he needs then so be it! I'm a bit tired waiting for Ryan/Natalia now :P (Aww bless him for calling her 4 times :))

Good acting all round, by Natalia and Ryan especially though(Oh, and the murderer). A good solid episode, CSI: Miami is probably the CSI series doing the best this season in my eyes.

Californication - S04E12

Hank finally gets his sentencing of three years probation from the judge so he now has to behave himself. Things come to a head at a dinner where all loose ends come together. To get this out of the way, Bridget's character is just crazy, it's like the writers had a conference of all the craziest stuff they could think of and have it come out of her mouth as her words, not that she's a bad character, it's more like she's a noticeable one dimensional experiment who only wants sex. The episode was well structured having the sentencing happen at the beginning and letting the aftermath really sink into Hank as he now has to live with a lot less of Becca and Karen in his life. I know Ben is that one girl's father but I'd like to see that relationship happen or whatever just to have more of a dynamic rather than just a written in way for him to be at their shows. Hank is left open ended as does the episode, the ball is now in his court with regards to his romantic future with his lawyer and whether he wants to be happy. All the characters' insight into his character about having a good heart and still being totally messed up is true. At least in the end in a well surrounded backdrop of "You can't always get what you want" he at least makes a step in the right direction of being involved in the movie and reconnecting with the past that he loves so dearly so that he can maybe overcome it and live in the present and be happy. Don't know what Season 5 has in store for us, but Season 4 was decent enough but I'm curious to see where the writers go with Hank and his family now that the big legal thing is in the rearview.

Normally I am not really interested in the case, more in the Castle-Beckett scenes and Castle-Martha-Alexis scenes but this one really caught my attention :) Even if it was kind of twisted I found out who the killer was the second I saw Layla's brother, however it still was an excellent episode we some Casckett-y goodness at the end, I can't believe Beckett is a Sci-Fi lover :D
I also love to see daddy Castle even if his reaction ( tracking Alexis' phone) was definetely excessive ! Still the last scene between the father and the daughter was awesomely cute and I hope we will get some more Molly Quinn in the next episodes.

I have to admit: I'm confused as to the show's format. What started as a show about a family in law enforcement now looks more like a straightforward procedural. Episode started with a look into victim's life prior to crime and focused on Danny and Jackie working the case ? very much in L&O style. There was a small subplot involving Frank Reagan ? because, hey, it's Tom Selleck ? and a short dinner scene ? because, hey, you need a scene with the family sharing a meal.

I understand that it is difficult to incorporate all the characters into one episode, but as the Pilot shows, it is possible. Give Danny a case, let Erin help him, let his father advise him ? and please give poor Jamie something to do. In this episode, we see Jamie in two short scenes that had nothing to do with the storyline.

Don't get me wrong: I like this show and I enjoy watching Danny and Jackie! Wahlberg and Esposito have a nice onscreen chemistry. I would just like the show to keep its identity ? family drama & crime show ? that separates it from other procedurals.

Highlights: Frank Reagan and detective Patricia Ryan. One short scene, but memorable! Great chemistry and I hope this relationship develops... Lows: So, our kidnappers were smart enough to completely wipe the car ? but they left a bottle of champagne and wine glasses in a nearby dumpster, fingerprints & lipstick untouched?!

Overall, I like this show & will continue to watch!
